Introduced in May of 2004, the Sony Cyber-Shot P93a had a suggested retail price of $349. It was a very capable performer with fast shutter response time, noise suppression and relatively long operation (3 hours with good AA-cells). It pulled off the neat trick of having larger file size at a lower price than the previous year’s model.
It’s low and long shape made the camera easy to hold and provided more space for buttons and switches. With a optical viewfinder you didn’t have to use the rear screen often. The camera could work directly with printers. It had both unlimited movie (memory dependent) and a special high speed capture that could take 30 images for one second.
I bought the camera in a broken state, and couldn’t get to work. What you see is how it has remained.
